Why Pop Up Gazebos Are So Popular

There are many different types of garden and gazebo canopies. A pop up gazebo is a specific type of pop up canopy that is very popular with crafts people and other sellers who frequent outdoor fairs and bazaars. While similar in design and function to other shade canopies, the pop up has some unique features that make them well suited to outdoor events.

The most distinguishing feature of a pop up gazebo is the design and construction of the canopy top. The fabric cover is already attached to the canopy frame and the two unfold together when erecting the canopy. This makes setup and take down much simpler as it removes the need to stretch the canopy top over the frame. This is the most difficult setup task and usually requires two people.

The ability to quickly setup a canopy with only one person is what makes these pup-ups so popular. Once it’s setup, a pop up gazebo looks like any other gazebo canopy and provides the same protection from the sun and rain. The fabric tops are made from the same type of polyester fabric and weather treated to prevent damage from the sun. They’re also built to be very portable. They can fold up and be stored in a bag that fits in the trunk of your car.

The only thing to be careful about is the wind. Pop up canopies are very light weight and need to be staked or otherwise secured to the ground to keep from blowing over. This is not usually a big problem unless the winds get strong in which case you should take the canopy down to prevent the cover from ripping or tearing.

Pop up canopies are extremely useful for all kinds of outdoor activities. They can be used at the beach, park, backyards or anywhere else you need portable shade. I saw some yesterday at a local dog show in the park. They are also very useful when you can’t find a picnic table in the shade. Just setup your pop up canopy over the table and enjoy your picnic. If you have a need for portable shade then a pop up gazebo might be just what you’re looking for.
